I regret telling the people next to me to STFU only once, because I think infinite times may have been more effective.
Their insipid conversation cannot detract from the wonder that is Max's dancing, because as you watch this you will indeed be wondering if that is in fact dancing.
Walked over 20,000 steps yesterday including the equivalent of 100 flights of stairs.
But still fell short of the ten mile mark.
Ah, well.

When she started college at the University of Wisconsin, she said, she couldn't live in a dorm there because Jews weren't allowed*. So she went to Hillel House, where she met a fellow outcast who became not only her husband, but a distinguished landscape architect.
Talking about his effect on her own work, she described her husband designing a deck around trees already existing. "I realized," she said, "that my body is not the center." Everything that one body could accomplish "is in relationship to things."

Max and I just agreed on which sport he'll play to win an Olympic medal: curling! The best part is that I don't have to start taking him to training anytime soon.
Sometimes when I think, "looking back, which would I rather say I did today? socialize? or clean my room?" cleaning my room wins. But more often than not "trying to get rid of my open tabs" beats both.

Just need to work in the marching part and he's all set.
So many trefoils.
I'm grateful to live in a country where an accused, and most certainly guilty, school shooter gets escorted to court in a bullet proof vest.
It shows a level of faith in our legal system, compassion for the broken among us, and a lack of egregious corruption among law enforcement.
Similarly, I'm grateful that the mountain took the life of the Mt. Ranier shooter, and not an LE bullet. I'd start a flame war if I posted this on my FB page, but I just don't think it's healthy for lone LEOs to adminster justice from their own guns.
